The Itiquira Waterfall is one of the biggest waterfalls in Brasil, located on the slopes of Planalto Central, in the municipality of Formosa (GO) and can be reached by an asphalt road (115 km from Brasília). At the base of the waterfall, the show of the water that barely touches the ground due to its height is one of the most beautiful ever, specially when there is enough sunlight to form rainbows around it. It is protected by a local conservation unit, the Municipal Park of Itiquira. Its administration is decentralized through a fundation.
