Beach Luau by Night
Moonlight buffet dinner by the sea. Bahian women in traditional costume offering tropical cocktails would welcome clients. Another Baiana would serve freshly cooked acarajé and abará from her traditional tray. After dinner we will have a full folkloric show with local dances. At the end of the show clients are given flowers and join in with the group of musicians and dancers, presenting a gift to Yemanjá, the goddess of the sea.

A presentation by an Afro Carnival drumming troupe: These are the infectious, pulsating samba-reggae rhythms that have launched a thousand dances, a taste of Carnival in Bahia. Ceremony for Yemanjá: Salvador is surrounded by ocean and bay, and no other orixá (deity) in the Candomblé pantheon is more revered than Yemanjá, the goddess of the sea. The drums begin to play. A searchlight picks up the figure of Yemanjá in the waves by the seashore, gradually leaving the ocean while out of the darkness "filhas de santo" (saint's daughters) appear and pay homage to the queen of the ocean, offering flowers and other gifts. Guests are given flowers by the "filhas de santo". The group follows Yemanjá back to the seashore, laying their flowers on the gentle waves as Yemanjá departs again into the night.
Pelourinho
There are many different cozy restaurants ready to serve you with the best local and international cuisine.
Solar do Unhão
The venue is the 18th century colonial complex, Solar do Unhão, which had its own sugar refinery, church, manor house and slave quarters. The show takes place in the old stockrooms and is a showcase of the different African traditions still so much alive in Bahia. We will see the sacred dances of Candomblé; the maculelê (a stick and sword dance from the cane fields); the dance of the caboclo (an Amerindian hunting dance), Capoeira (a martial art/dance of Angolan origin) and the "samba de roda" (a spinning, swirling version of this exuberant national dance).
Dinner is a buffet with a wide selection of local and international dishes.
