Bahian Arts Bahia - BA
Being one of the great ports of the eastern seaboard of Latin America, Salvador has always been a great melting pot of artistic expression. Down through the centuries the city received strong influences from Africa, Europe, the Far East and the Caribbean. The music and dance traditions in Bahia draw heavily from African sources. This is also true of the visual arts. Salvador is one of the main centres of artistic expression in Brazil. Most artists use African motifs in some aspect of their work. There is a thriving naïve tradition in Salvador similar to that of Haiti , while more modern styles of a high quality are to be seen in the finer galleries of the city.
Our tours will focus on three different media, choosing from a wide variety of artists.
Capoeira In Depth Bahia - BA
The traditional Capoeira Angolan is the slower and subtler of the two forms of the martial art where the hands are often used to support the body as the blows are given by the feet. One is considered a good capoeirista for the manner in which one gets one’s opponent into a position where he or she is of guard, a great accent being on disguising the possible eventual blow. If points were to be gained in this martial art form they would be gained for the craft and skill used in delivering the blows rather than the blow itself. The word “ginga”, meaning the sleight of hand, foot and body to deliver and avoid blows, is the key here.

Like all great martial arts there is a very vital philosophy and way of life associated with being a capoeirista and to become a master demands years of dedication to the finer details of the art.

Music plays a very important role in Capoeira and a Roda de Capoeira Angola, the circle inside of which the capoeirista perform, cannot take place without the full complement of 4 berimbaus, (a bowed one-stringed instrument and the backbone of the capoeira), one conga, tambourines and an assortment of other percussion instruments.
Cycling In The Park Bahia - BA
The Pituaçu Metropolitan Park is an oasis in the rapidly expanding city. Just 20 minutes from most city hotels there is a 15 kms cycle track that circles the lush park. Our guides will inform on the local fauna as they accompany you on the 2 hour ride around the park.
Drum Workshop Bahia - BA
Bahia is the percussive heart of Brazil, the rhythmic soul is African, a mind boggling myriad of rythmns that has attracted many international musicians to these shores, Paul Simon, Wayne Shorter, to name but a few of the more famous.

The rhythms can be chosen from the following:

• Rhythmns of the Afro Blocos
• Ijexá - the shuffling rhythm of the famous carnival afoxé Filhos de Gandhi
• Samba de Roda and Samba Dura - the powerhouse samba of the Reconcavo
• Samba Reggae- variation on the above theme that launched Olodum on the whole stage
• Visit to percussion instrument maker’s workshop

The names of the instruments are as wondrous as their resulting sounds are lifting:
• The rhum, rhumbi and lê of the candomblé
• The surdo, caixa, timbau and repique of the samba reggae
• The agogô, atabaque and maracas of the ijexá

09:00 : Eckemberger, an Argentian-German living in Brazil, is an internationally renowned ceramic artist with works displayed in the Pinacoteca in São Paulo, as well as the Modern Art Museums in Salvador, Recife and Rio de Janeiro. Irreverent, he is amongst Salvador elite group of artists.

10:00 Paulo Darzé Gallery is the most comprehensive and complete gallery in Salvador, comparable to the great galleries of São Paulo and New York. Here works by leading Brazilian artists Portinari, Di Calvalcanti, Giogio Bruno and Carybé are to be seen, offering an excellent overview of Brazilian art

11:30 Museum August Rondim close by has a rotating archive of works by contemporary Bahian artists. The wonderful building and grounds have recently been opened as a new venue for art exhibitions.

12:30 Free time for lunch (Suggestion will bw done by the tour guide)

14:00 Alban Art Gallery is another of Salvador´s premier art galleries, located in a renovated waterfront warehouse, adjacent to some of Salvador’s finest restaurants. Works by leading Bahian artists such as Mester Didi and Mario Cravo, amongst others, are on display here.

14:45 Galeria Oxum is owned by widow Nancy and daughter of the great Carybé. The gallery specializes in ethnic decorative art. The most impressive piece is the wonderful statue of Oxum, the African goddess of the rivers and lakes made by Carybé specially for Nancy but this is not for sale. Works by Mirabó, Burle Max and Eckemberger are to be seen here

15:30 Galeria NCR is one of the lesser known galleries in the city but is important and recognized for the technical excellence of the works on display. Works by artists Fátima Tosta, Genaro de Carvalho, Brussel are on display here.

16:00 – Galeria Prova do Artista is Salvador´s leading gallery for contemporary Bahian artists with works by Oberland, Brussel, Marepe, Justinho Marinho and Bel Borba on display

17:00-Visit to the studio of contemporary artist Washington Sales, the rising talent most likely to take up where the Carybé left off. Washington is already well known in France and Germany
Gaucho Party Paraná - PR
A property surrounded with native forest and also real typical Gaucho ranch infra-structure is our stage to this gaucho party. On the reserved area the customers will be received by 06 horsemen dressing the original Gauchos costumes and bearing flags of Brazil and the state of Rio Grande do Sul and also if the INCENTIVE company group to send the flags advanced and so forth the horsemen will to escort the guachesca music, will be served batidinhas of fruits, cooling and water and baked thighbone of sheep cut in steps for aperitif ( It takes of taste).

Markets And Cuisine Experience Bahia - BA
Depart hotel and visit two of Salvador’s busiest market. First stop is the newly renovated Fish markets where the wide variety of seafood and fish found in the trocial waters of the bay and he ocean are on display. A short distance away is the largest open markets in Bahia, the São Joaquim market, selling a myriad of products and produce, from fruits and vegetables to spare parts for domestic appliances, to sacred herbs and religious artifacts of the candomblé.
Here we find all of the ingredients for Bahia cuisine and later savour the famous moqueca dish is a local restaurant in the city.
Pirate Attack During Tropical Islands Na... Rio de Janeiro - RJ
A pirate’s attack- it consists of having another schooner which will leave from another pier and will intercept the one where the group is. They will use allot of fireworks when getting close giving the idea of bombing like old times. From the other schooner will disembark a group of samba dancers and samba player making allot of noise. The group will be dressed like pirates.
Private Cocktail At Sugar Loaf Rio de Janeiro - RJ
Departure to Sugar Loaf mountains, driving along the beaches and head for a Cocktail party at Urca Hill, the intermediates stop between the cable cars. A private area will be set up to provide your group with an open bar of liquors and deluxe hot and cold hors d'oeuvres while they watch Rio de Janeiro slowly begin to twinkle on at sunset. Musical background can be added to the Happy hour with our strolling Samba Trio while a group of professional dancers in local costumes will teach a few steps on how to dance Samba.
Refreshments During The City Tour Bahia - BA
Our normal city tour of the historical center of Salvador can include refreshments in the Pelourinho Square. Clients would be offered chilled coconut water, straight from the coconut, mineral water or soft drinks. These could be served from a donkey and cart by locals wearing clothing, bearing the company's logo, or Bahian women in full traditional costume. Before rejoining the bus, a specially arranged display of the capoeira on the street could be offered to clients. Coconuts can be individually branded with the emblem of sponsoring company.
