09:00 : Eckemberger, an Argentian-German living in Brazil, is an internationally renowned ceramic artist with works displayed in the Pinacoteca in São Paulo, as well as the Modern Art Museums in Salvador, Recife and Rio de Janeiro. Irreverent, he is amongst Salvador elite group of artists.

10:00 Paulo Darzé Gallery is the most comprehensive and complete gallery in Salvador, comparable to the great galleries of São Paulo and New York. Here works by leading Brazilian artists Portinari, Di Calvalcanti, Giogio Bruno and Carybé are to be seen, offering an excellent overview of Brazilian art

11:30 Museum August Rondim close by has a rotating archive of works by contemporary Bahian artists. The wonderful building and grounds have recently been opened as a new venue for art exhibitions.

14:00 Alban Art Gallery is another of Salvador´s premier art galleries, located in a renovated waterfront warehouse, adjacent to some of Salvador’s finest restaurants. Works by leading Bahian artists such as Mester Didi and Mario Cravo, amongst others, are on display here.

14:45 Galeria Oxum is owned by widow Nancy and daughter of the great Carybé. The gallery specializes in ethnic decorative art. The most impressive piece is the wonderful statue of Oxum, the African goddess of the rivers and lakes made by Carybé specially for Nancy but this is not for sale. Works by Mirabó, Burle Max and Eckemberger are to be seen here

15:30 Galeria NCR is one of the lesser known galleries in the city but is important and recognized for the technical excellence of the works on display. Works by artists Fátima Tosta, Genaro de Carvalho, Brussel are on display here.

16:00 – Galeria Prova do Artista is Salvador´s leading gallery for contemporary Bahian artists with works by Oberland, Brussel, Marepe, Justinho Marinho and Bel Borba on display

17:00-Visit to the studio of contemporary artist Washington Sales, the rising talent most likely to take up where the Carybé left off. Washington is already well known in France and Germany
